The official websites for the Tuck School of Business are overseen and maintained jointly by the Office of Creative Services and the Office of Information Technology. Services provided by outside vendors are supervised by staff in these offices. Websites for faculty and student organizations affiliated with the school are maintained by the owners.

SCHOOL NAME

When referring to the Tuck School, please use the preferred name: Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. This is the preferred usage for the first mention of the school. On subsequent mentions, it's fine to shorten the name to the Tuck School of Business, the Tuck School, or Tuck. The formal name Amos Tuck School of Business Administration should be used only in legal documents. Please do not use these incorrect names: Amos Tuck, the Amos Tuck School, the Tuck School at Dartmouth College, or the Tuck School of Business Administration. Also, please do not use Dartmouth University when referring to Dartmouth College.

OVERVIEW & HISTORY

Tuck's first public website was launched in 1993. Major goals of this continuing project are web access to other information systems (administrative Oracle databases) and an enhanced range of products and new information sources for the entire Tuck community and the public.

1997

Tuck began development of TuckStreams, a web-based intranet service for current staff and students. TuckStreams is an ongoing development project. The original interface and graphic design for TuckStreams was created by Harp & Company in Hanover, N.H.

Tuck joined with Dartmouth College, the Dartmouth Medical School, and the Thayer School of Engineering to launch the Vox Alumni Network (VAN). The network provides all alumni from Dartmouth and the affiliated professional schools with a free lifetime email address and other services.

1999

Tuck selected TSDesign in Cambridge, Mass., to develop a new interface and graphical design for the school's public website. This new site was launched in September 1999.

Tuck began extending TuckStreams to serve the needs of alumni. In 2000 a new version of Tuck's alumni database was made available to all our alumni via the web. This database uses the Vox Alumni Network to authenticate users.

Tuck again selected TSDesign to develop an interface and graphical design for research center websites at the school. This project was completed in 2000 by Razorfish following their acquisition of TSDesign.

2000

Tuck selected ditherdog in Boston, Mass., to develop an interface and graphical design for tuckjobs.com. This website is a complete guide to the job placement services available at Tuck for recruiters, students, and alumni. The website was launched in September 2000.

2001

Tuck selected Focus:IMPACT in Chicago, Ill., to implement a website for the Center for Digital Strategies using the design delivered by Razorfish in 2000. This site was launched in March 2001.

Tuck selected Focus:IMPACT to implement a website for the Center for Corporate Governance using the design delivered by Razorfish in 2000. This site was launched in July 2001.

Tuck selected Nut Design in Norwich, Vt., to develop a graphical design and style guide for use by student organizations at Tuck. The TuckClubs design has been used by student organizations at Tuck as needed.

Tuck selected mediumbold in Boston, Mass., to design a new home page for the school’s external website and to update the headers and navigation bar used within the site. The new page was launched in September 2001.

2002

Tuck selected mediumbold to build a website for the Foster Center for Private Equity using the design delivered by Razorfish in 2000. This site was launched in March 2002. (The center’s name has since changed to the Center for Private Equity and Entrepreneurship.)

Tuck selected mediumbold to build a website for the Center for Global Leadership using the design delivered by Razorfish in 2000. This site was launched in November 2002.

Tuck selected Corey McPherson Nash in Watertown, Mass., to develop a new graphical design and navigation system for TuckStreams 2.0.

2003

Tuck selected mediumbold to develop a template that would allow faculty members to create personal websites. This template was delivered in August 2003.

2004

Tuck selected mediumbold to build a website for the Center for International Business using the design delivered by Razorfish in 2000. This new site was launched in March 2004.

Tuck selected Corey McPherson Nash to design, develop, and build a website for Investing in Excellence: A Campaign for Tuck. The site was launched in November 2004.

Tuck selected Corey McPherson Nash to develop a new interface and graphical design for the school's public website.

2005

Tuck's new public website was launched in August 2005.

A subsite for the Tuck Business Bridge Program, based on the design of the school’s new public website, was launched in September 2005.

Tuck selected Corey McPherson Nash to design, develop, and build a new website for Tuck Executive Education at Dartmouth.

2006

The new site for Tuck Executive Education at Dartmouth was launched in February 2006.

Recruiting@Tuck, a subsite for recruiters, was designed to family with Tuck's public website. The site was launched in May of 2006.
