DETAILS:
Reservations
We have reserved a block of rooms at the Lake Morey Resort. Please contact the resort to reserve a room (space is limited, so rooms will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis).
Sunday Reception and Dinner
We will have a casual reception and kick-off dinner in Byrne Hall at Tuck on Sunday, starting at 6:00 p.m.
Monday Presentation and Cocktails
If Ken French is not too worn out by Monday evening, he will give a 45 minute presentation on how you can retire rich. (Well, what he really said was how you can improve your investment strategy, but that title doesn't sell books.) After cocktails and Ken's presentation, folks can organize themselves into small groups for dinner at nearby restaurants.
Bike Riding
Two groups will head out for rides each day from the Lake Morey Inn-one for casual riders and one for less-casual riders.
For anyone interested in riding Sunday, the less casual ride will leave the Inn at 1:00 p.m. and the more causal ride will leave at 2:00 p.m.. Both rides should finish between 4:00 and 5:00. The less casual loop will be roughly 50 miles of hilly terrain; the more casual loop will be 30 miles of moderate terrain. (As you may recall, there are always some hills when riding around Hanover.)
The rides on Monday and Tuesday will start at 9:00 a.m. On both days, the more casual ride will be 35 to 50 miles of moderate to rolling terrain, with lunch either on the ride or back in Fairlee after the ride. The less casual ride will be roughly 70 or 80 miles of hilly terrain, and riders should bring whatever you usually eat on a long ride-Powerbars, Cliff Bars, Nuun, etc.
There will be a support van for the more casual riders, but less casual riders are on their own. Please bring tubes, tools, and whatever else you need to make sure you can finish the rides. We can also coordinate bike rentals for those who want to rent one.
Golf
In case you have forgotten, the golf course at the Lake Morey Resort is first rate. If you would rather play golf than ride, or you would like to do both, we will be happy to coordinate foursomes, etc. Just let us know your plans: Do you already have a foursome? Would you like us to find others to join you? When do you want to play?
Cost
-Lake Morey Resort Room: $135 (payable to Lake Morey)
