The Tuck faculty's dual excellence in research and teaching is one of the chief reasons we are able to offer the highest quality business education. The faculty's active involvement in shaping the ideas of their disciplines adds levels of rigor and authenticity to a Tuck education that would not be possible if they were simply presenting others' ideas. Students benefit by learning directly from teachers who are engaged in answering the most important questions in their fields.
Finding educators with this invaluable dual expertise is one challenge. Attracting them to Tuck in a highly competitive environment is another, and continuing to meet that challenge will require new funding.
The campaign will allow Tuck to meet this challenge and to provide faculty with the resources they need to maintain their high levels of accomplishment in research and teaching.
OPPORTUNITIES TO SUPPORT FACULTY
Faculty Excellence Funds: These endowed funds will allow Tuck to support and leverage the research and teaching activities of each faculty member. Funds can be directed toward scholarly research or teaching excellence in any of the MBA disciplines.
Endowed Faculty Chairs: To recognize the accomplishments of senior-level faculty who shape the field of management, Tuck will offer new endowed professorships.
Support for Tuck Research Centers: Tuck's research centers bring a cross-disciplinary focus to issues that drive today's economy: global leadership, corporate governance, international business, private equity and entrepreneurship, and digital strategies. Their efforts leverage faculty research, enrich the curriculum and educational opportunities for MBA students, provide connections with corporations and practicing managers, and enhance Tuck's overall reputation and visibility.
