Annual giving is a core element of Tuck's overall campaign and essential to our ability to meet our goals. The participation rate in Tuck Annual Giving (TAG) - which has exceeded 60 percent every year since 1985 - is a great source of pride. This remarkable performance is due to the dedication and support of alumni volunteers and donors who give readily of their time and resources to ensure that Tuck remains at the top.

TAG is a living endowment that helps balance the budget and ensures the continued financial health of the institution. It provides steady revenues that Tuck can count on in the face of declining endowment returns or in positive economic times. It gives us the flexibility to direct money where it is needed most - to attract and retain the best teacher scholars and ensure a faculty of thought leaders, to provide the scholarship funds needed to attract the best students to Tuck, and to ensure that facilities and programs remain first rate.

Given our recently increased class size, the diversity of the student body, and heightened competition for the best students, TAG plays an increasingly important role in supplying funds for scholarships. The TAG Scholar and the TAG Class Scholar Programs help attract the best to Tuck and ensure their access to the Tuck experience.

The greatest challenge of leadership is not attaining it, but retaining it. An annual gift to TAG allows Tuck to strengthen the faculty, recruit the best students, enrich the MBA experience, and enhance the learning environment. Continued participation in and increased support for TAG will help ensure that Tuck remains a leader in business education and moves to a new level of excellence. For this campaign to be truly successful, TAG must remain strong.
