Background

In addition to his work at Tuck, Dr. Conway is an adjunct associate professor of community and family medicine at the Dartmouth Medical School. He was head of Global Health Economics and Research of Outcomes (HERO) for Aventis Pharma (2000-2004). Prior to that, he was global director of Epidemiology and Heath Outcomes Research for Abbott Laboratories.

In 1990, Dr. Conway established the department of technology management for the American Medical Association (AMA), which was American medicine's first dedicated venture in health technology assessment. His duties for the AMA also included developing health policy, and he has represented medicine's interest before the U.S. Congress and the FDA.
