"We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit." — Aristotle

Background

Guy Hocker is the founder and president of RTS Partners, LLC, a consulting firm dedicated to corporate strategy implementation services. He is a frequent lecturer at the Tuck School of Business in the Tuck Executive Program and Global Leadership 2020, as well as in other executive education programs around the country. He holds an MS from the Sloan School of Management at MIT as a Draper Laboratory Fellow and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the United States Air Force Academy.

Mr. Hocker's business interest is uniting large, complex organizations under one strategy for long-term success. He has focused his consulting and research efforts in applying the power of measurement as a tool to unite an organization and unleash creativity at all levels. His work leverages the Balanced Scorecard framework, but focuses with greater depth on the attributes of measures that have the greatest impact in achieving organizational change.

In addition, Mr. Hocker has conducted extensive research in establishing organizational "battle rhythms." Battle rhythms refer to the pace and accountability within leadership governance required to apply sufficient focus on selected measures and initiatives to ensure proper alignment and follow-through for change.

Mr. Hocker and RTS Partners have assisted firms in a wide range of industries including the financial (Scudder, ABN AMRO), manufacturing (DuPont), pharmaceutical (Monsanto), and not-for-profit sectors. He is also a leader in applying strategy frameworks within the highest levels of government organizations.
