Paul Saunders

Paul Saunders is British and now based in the U.K., but has lived in six different countries and continues to work in many more around the world, giving him first-hand experience of the challenges of global working.

Background

Paul Saunders has 20 years experience as a corporate and organizational trainer, facilitator and coach, both in the U.K. and globally, and works with a wide range of international blue chip and public sector organizations. He is renowned for his dynamic, interactive and creative approach and for his ability to identify and work through the deeper issues that individuals, teams, and organizations face and that impact on their cross-cultural working relationships and their creativity. He is equally comfortable running a session on creativity and innovation for a project team, coaching global teams in cross-cultural effectiveness, or running a cross-cultural workshop for 30 high-potential leaders.

Mr. Saunders holds a BA with Joint Honors in Modern Languages (French and German) and an MBA with Distinction from the Open University Business School in the U.K. In 1999, he joined the Open University Business School as an Associate Lecturer on the international MBA program focusing on creativity and innovation. His current research focuses on the challenge of creative problem solving in multicultural teams.

In addition, Mr. Saunders has been an active member of SIETAR (Society for Intercultural Education, Training and Research) for many years, attending and/or running workshops and presentations at nine SIETAR conferences in Europe and the USA.

He is co-founder of One Step Beyond, a learning and consulting organization with global reach, specializing in the fields of global working and driving creativity and innovation in global teams.
