BS, Florida State University, 1965; MAcct, Florida State University, 1967; DBA, Florida State University, 1970. At Tuck since 1977.

Accounting.

Current Research Topics

Professor Stickney's teaching and research interests center on the interpretation and analysis of financial statements. His research has examined the impact of different accounting principles on U.S. versus Japanese price-earnings ratios, and the use of financial statement ratios to infer the content and evaluate the success of corporate-level strategies.

Publications

Professor Stickney has authored or co-authored several books on financial accounting, managerial accounting, and financial statement analysis. His work has also been published in the Journal of Financial Statement Analysis, Handbook of International Accounting, and Journal of Financial Statement Analysis.

Background

In addition to his work at Tuck, Professor Stickney has been an assistant professor at the University of Chicago, an associate professor at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a visiting professor at the Helsinki School of Economics and the International University of Japan. He has also been a visiting scholar at the Swinburne Institute of Technology.
