Mitch Blumberg recently retired after nine years as senior vice president and deputy executive director of Desert Arc, one of the oldest and largest non-profit agencies in the Coachella Valley of Southern California. Desert Arc serves 700 adults with developmental disabilities. Professor Blumberg graduated with an MBA from Harvard Business School, a JD from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, and a BA from the University of Pennsylvania. He has served as a senior executive and director of public and private companies in the Internet and communications sectors, as well as in real estate investment and development, venture capital, entertainment, advertising, financial services, and private investments. As an adjunct professor at Rice University’s Jones Graduate School of Administration in Houston, TX, he created and taught a second-year MBA course in entrepreneurship modeled on the Harvard Business School course for a decade. He was raised in Philadelphia, PA and resided in New York, Boston, Toronto, Houston, and Los Angeles (Beverly Hills), and currently resides in Rancho Mirage (Palm Springs), CA.
