As an English major from Brown working as an analyst at Morgan Stanley, Adam Godfrey felt confident that he could do the work required of him but less confident that he fully understood its theoretical underpinnings. So he applied to Tuck.
"Tuck was quite progressive in its approach. It was complete immersion, with an emphasis on teamwork that establishes an environment where people feel they're all in it together. That may not exist at other schools," he says.
As a student, Godfrey valued Tuck's small size and the "real access" he had to good teachers, who included Tuck faculty and members of the broader Tuck community. "I have very strong memories of executives who were Tuck alumni coming to the school, participating in classes, and sharing their experiences," he says. "I got a lot out of that."
He's returned the favor on several occasions, coming to campus to speak to Tuck classes on finance and on private equity and entrepreneurship. In addition to sharing his expertise with Tuck students, he is a class agent, an active participant in the Tuck Alumni Admissions Program, and a member of the MBA advisory board.
