At Tuck: President, class of 2006

The world of Tuck is structured so that you acquire essential elements of your education all the time. You survive the intense workload in your first six months by learning time-management skills. In your study groups, you learn teamwork. In the student organizations, you learn leadership and how to effect real change.

For example, if you have a problem or an idea for improving some facet of Tuck life, you can easily arrange a meaningful conversation with the dean. The faculty and staff are not only willing, but eager to listen to individuals. As president of the first-year class, I saw this all the time. If I heard about an issue from more than say, three or four students, I took it to the dean for discussion.

Tuck evolves quickly and responds to shifts in a fast-paced environment. This kind of nimble structure is unique. And it means that your voice matters.
