I learned a lot from my first-year study group about the power of collective effort. If you've never done it, building a financial model feels like climbing Mount Everest. My group included a brilliant IT engineer who's done business modeling for years. Instead of being impatient with me, he guided me through each assignment. We were a team, and we didn't leave the room until everyone was comfortable with the material.
The learning environment at Tuck is very healthy. When you feel supported by your peers and your professors, you're more willing to ask the hard questions and challenge each other in a more personal way, so your education is much richer.
