"I wouldn't have had the skills to do my job without having gone to Tuck. As a student, I developed analytic proficiencies and learned first-hand how critical teamwork was in business. Learning to deal with different people with individual personalities, perspectives, and objectives has been so important to me over the long term.

"Being from Manhattan, I was thrilled by the opportunity to study in a rural environment, especially because I knew I would live much of my life in cities. I have had the fascinating opportunity to work in an area of the world where some of the most important events are taking place in the business and political arena. A few years ago, I was at a luncheon with the premier and prime minister of Slovenia, who spoke about having just written his country's declaration of independence! You can get a global perspective in Hanover or in New York, but there's no substitute for living and working somewhere outside your country."

Doyle, a member of Tuck’s board of overseers, is one of the first 10 women to graduate from Tuck. She spent 18 years with Bankers Trust, where she worked on oil and gas projects during the energy boom of the early 1980s and in leveraged finance during the prosperous late 1980s. At EBRD, with staff from more than 40 countries, she applied her risk-assessment skills to its portfolio of loans and equity investments in Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union. She was ranked among "Europe's Most Successful Business Women" by The Wall Street Journal in 2003.
