Welcome, Spring!

By Marcy H. TP'14

Could it be? Might it actually be time to put away our heavy down coats and snow boots in favor of sunglasses and flip flops? The past week or two have certainly made it feel like that might be the case... So far this week it's been sunny and getting up into the upper 50s and even 60s. We spent yesterday afternoon playing at one of the Sachem Village playgrounds along with a crowd of several other neighborhood kids. Today my guys met up with their friend who lives a couple doors down and they all rode their bikes around Sachem Circle for a good hour. We had snack basking in the sunshine on our front porch, and enjoyed being outdoors and comfortable without even wearing a jacket.

With our first New England winter behind us, I am pleased to say that it wasn't nearly as bad as I had feared. We survived, heck we even enjoyed a lot of it. That said, I am most definitely welcoming spring with open arms.

As an aside, many of us here are in the throes of preparing for ASW next weekend and it is so exciting to think of meeting many prospective students and partners! I have fond memories of attending ASW last year and hope many of you will have just as great a time.  I will be on the Tuck with Kids panel at ASW so feel free to leave a comment or email me (marcytp14 at gmail dot com) with any questions or issues you want to make sure are covered. See you soon!!
