Tuck's technology infrastructure is more than a convenience—it is critical to many aspects of a student's life at Tuck and all students are provided with a standard notebook computer to use while enrolled in our MBA program.

But technology at Tuck is much more than just the computer. We package a unique combination of equipment, software, services, and responsive support that permits students to clearly focus on their educational priorities. We call this the Tuck Technology Advantage.

The package consists of:

• a business-class notebook computer
• all necessary software for the core MBA program
• online data backup service
• full access to the school network
• tech support from Tuck
• use of a free loaner laptop if yours breaks
• extended warranty, fire/theft insurance, and accidental damage coverage

Notebook Computer
Students have the option to accept a standard package that is entirely covered by the technology fee or optionally upgrade the computer. Tuck currently uses Lenovo ThinkPad notebook computers.
 
Licensed Software
Students are provided with a suite of licensed software products to use while they attend Tuck.

The pre-configured software includes:

• Microsoft Windows 7 Enterprise
• Microsoft Office 2010 Professional (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, OneNote, Publisher, Office Communicator, Office Live Meeting)
• Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft Project
• SPSS (Base, Advanced, Regression, Tables, Conjoint, Categories)
• RiskSolver Platform
• think-cell 
• FileMaker Pro
• Carbonite
• Microsoft Security Essentials (virus, malware and spyware protection)

Information about the program is sent to enrolling students in the spring each year.
