Sarah Smith didn’t commit to business school. “I committed to an experience, an exploration,” she says. After serving as a platoon leader and captain in the U.S. Army—including service in Iraq—and starting an outdoor education program, Smith wanted to discover which of her career interests were viable. “I wanted to learn how to create a professional opportunity for myself, so business school seemed a good direction.” But not so obvious was Tuck. “I didn’t know if Tuck would be my top choice. But after one visit I knew my family would adore this environment and Tuck became the only school I applied to. The great value of Tuck is in the range of opportunities and resources it presents, and that’s not just talk. I knew I would achieve my goals here.”
