HANOVER, N.H. - Today the Financial Times released its eighth annual ranking of full-time MBA programs. The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth placed #7 among U.S. schools and #8 worldwide.

Tuck placed among the top 10 in the following categories:

  • North American salaries today
  • North American salary percent increase
  • Top salaries in consulting
  • Top salaries in industrial firms
  • Aims achieved (the extent to which alumni fulfilled their goals or reasons for earning an MBA)
  • Placement success (the percentage of alumni from the class of 2002 who gained employment with the help of Tuck and its Career Development Office)

Data for this ranking was compiled from two main sources—the business schools and the schools' alumni who graduated three years ago. A school's rank is determined by a combination of three main factors—alumni career progression and salary purchasing power; the diversity (gender and internationalization) of the school and its program; and perceptions of the school's research capabilities.

The Financial Times, BusinessWeek, Forbes, U.S. News & World Report, The Economist Intelligence Unit's Which MBA?, and The Wall Street Journal each regularly publish a ranking of graduate business schools. Tuck is listed in the top 10 among graduate business schools in all these publications' most recent rankings.
