HANOVER, N.H.—On November 13-16, the Tuck Diversity Conference at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth will welcome highly qualified prospective students to campus. While here, candidates will meet Tuck students, faculty, staff, alumni, and visiting executives through a range of social and academic events.

The student-run conference expands the definition of diversity to bring together participants from a variety of cultures, socioeconomic backgrounds, religious affiliations, and sexual orientations.

"The conference gives prospective students an understanding of what it means to be part of a diverse community at a top business school," says co-chair Rena Harper T'09. "It also allows us to expose participants to corporate recruiters and show them what it is like to operate at the level of an MBA student."

Visitors will have the chance to attend mock classes and panels on consulting, finance, and general management hosted by the Career Development Office. They'll also be able to take part in such social events as a wine tasting, an international party, and Tuck Vegas. The weekend will wrap up with a news hour with Dean Matthew Slaughter, professor of international economics.

Keynote speakers include the Honorable James B. Lewis, treasurer of the State of New Mexico; Tuck Professor Ella L. J. Edmondson Bell, founder of ASCENT; Ramsey M. Jay, Jr. T'05, associate analyst, Ares Management; Krystal Williams T'03, program manager of Deere & Company; Jacques-Philippe Piverger T'07, asset manager, private equity, AIG Investments; and Dean Paul Danos of the Tuck School.

"As a participant in last year's diversity conference, I experienced a sense of community and camaraderie that I didn't find at other schools," says Oliver Perez T'10. "That weekend was a big reason why I decided to come to Tuck."

Conference sponsors include John Deere (diamond sponsor), PepsiCo (platinum sponsor), AIG Investments, Goldman Sachs, J.P. Morgan, Eli Lilly and Company, and The Parthenon Group (silver sponsors).
