HANOVER, N.H.—The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth was ranked #2 by Forbes magazine in their sixth biennial ranking of the best business schools in the country. The magazine ranks business schools based on the return on investment for its graduates.
Forbes surveys alumni and determines return on investment by looking at five-year total compensation after graduation, minus the sum of tuition and forgone compensation. The survey listed 75 U.S. programs in total. The complete report can be found in the August 6 issue of Forbes magazine on newsstands and online at Forbes.com.
Tuck consistently places among the top schools ranked by major publications. Tuck's Dean, Paul Danos, attributes Tuck’s success in this ranking to the quality of the two-year MBA experience people have at Tuck, "Our most important indicators of success as a business school are our superbly prepared graduates in their leadership roles. We look to their career achievements as the only true barometer of the value of the Tuck educational experience," he says. "The personal and rigorous education at Tuck delivered by a faculty of thought leaders, the emphasis on ethics and leadership, and the fantastic alumni network lead our graduates to the top of their respective fields."
Founded in 1900, Tuck is the first graduate school of management in the country and consistently ranks among the top business schools worldwide. Tuck remains distinctive among the world's great business schools by combining human scale with global reach, rigorous coursework with experiences requiring teamwork, and valued traditions with innovation.
