Global Business Perspectives: Esi… Esi Sekyiamah T'07 is the deputy program manager at Technoserve, Inc., a not-for-profit organization that helps entrepreneurial men and women in poor areas of the developing world to build businesses that create income, opportunity, and economic growth for their families, their communities, and their countries. She recently visited Tuck for Africa Highlight Week, where she participated on a panel discussing social impact. In this video, she talks about the role of businesses in developing countries and describes some of the work Technoserve is involved in.

The Tuck Experience Whatever their reasons for pursuing an MBA, students leave Tuck transformed. “There aren’t too many times in our lives when we can have life-changing experiences,” says Professor Phillip Stocken, “and this is one of them.”

Update from the Dean:… In this update Dean Danos talks about the employment success for the Class of 2011 and what it says about economic prospects, the February launch of myTuck, upcoming events in Hanover, and the value of Tuck's approach to MBA education in these uncertain times.

Bon Hiver Snowboard Binding… We recognized that strap-ins provide the support, lateral flex, and responsiveness that riders demand, but we're fed up with strapping in for every run, walking flats, and being bound to our boards. We also recognized that other binding designs attempted to address these shortcomings, but did so at the expense of our riding experience. So, we created the FBS which provides performance riders need with the functionality we've been dying for. The FBS provides strap-in performance while enabling riders to disengage and remove the back binding from the board and either lock in on the fly while skating or lock in hands-free on the lift. Vowing to never compromise, we created a better binding that will be a catalyst for progression in snowboarding.

Update from the Dean:… In his third quarterly update, Dean Danos talks about activities at Tuck over the summer, the start of the new school year, and the role of Tuck's eight centers and initiatives. He also gives a sneak peek of myTUCK, the all new alumni website that will be launching in early 2012.

Global Business Perspectives: Russell… Russell Wolff, a member of the Dartmouth Class of 1989 and the Tuck Class of 1994, is the Executive Vice President & Managing Director of ESPN International. During a recent visit to Tuck, he shared his thoughts on the globalization of careers, international assignments, lessons he's learned by working in different cultures, and some key considerations for Tuck students as they plan their own global journeys.

Krystal Williams T’03 Thru-Hikes… Krystal Williams T'03 visited Tuck recently on her way to Maine's Mount Katahdin, via the 2,180-mile Appalachian Trail. Tuck invited Williams and five of her friends to stay for two nights in Buchanan Hall, giving them a much-needed chance to do some laundry and enjoy a soft bed. Here, Williams shares some stories from the trail and says that, in some ways, a 6-month hiking adventure is a lot like business school.
