Field Studies

The Tuck Global Consultancy course gives second-year students the opportunity to put their education into practice in the field. Many students participate in this elective, defining projects in the summer or fall, then traveling to their assigned countries in August/September or November/December for on-site research and analysis. At the end of this time, they deliver initial presentations of findings to their client's overseas-based senior management. After they return to the US, the teams complete full reports and present to US-based management within six weeks.

The course is organized and managed by Tuck's Center for International Business. To date, 146 projects have been completed for over 95 clients in more than 45 countries, including: Brazil, China, Czech Republic, Egypt, El Salvador, France, India, Korea, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, Tanzania, Turkey, UAE, UK, and Vietnam

Past representative clients include: Alcoa, British Telecom, Cargill, Cisco (Scientific Atlanta), Citibank, Corning, DHL, DuPont, Hewlett-Packard, Home Depot, Intel, John Deere, Johnson & Johnson, McGraw-Hill, Microsoft, Nike, Unilever, and Walmart
