Letter from the Dean:
Return on Investment

Education is the key to prosperity for individuals, companies, and entire societies. We've all witnessed how India and China have made technical education a cornerstone of their economic plans, with a resulting explosion in scientific and engineering capabilities. To be competitive, companies must not only capture the technological advances that flow from educational processes, but they must continuously and effectively implement innovations. This leads to a growing demand by the world's businesses for leaders who have the desire, confidence, knowledge, and skills to be at the forefront of the knowledge revolution.

That is where a Tuck education comes in, giving its graduates leadingedge knowledge and imparting the all-important human element in leadership that our culture emphasizes so well. We take very smart, experienced people and give them what they need to be world leaders in business. The resulting return on their education investment shows that the world highly values our graduates. That is driven home to me every time I see how the Tuck MBA transforms the lives and careers of our graduates. on recent trips to Latin America and India, I was struck anew by the magnitude of these opportunities and just what a quality MBA program can be worth to the immensely talented young professionals of the world.

Although the Tuck MBA program has been acknowledged as a world leader in return on investment, we know that our program brings much more than monetary rewards. The Tuck education provides a whole array of opportunities: to learn from experts who care, to change careers, to shift to higher leadership trajectories, and to gain a most supportive network for a lifetime.

Tuck's educational mission is one with no end point—it's a continuous and very challenging journey. Tuck's ability not only to meet the challenges but to be the very best clearly rests on the extraordinary support we get from our alums, and that support is key to our ability to be a world leader in adding value for our students.
