On October 15, 2005, Greener Ventures, Dartmouth's annual entrepreneurship conference, showed that entrepreneurs are made, not born. The event featured speakers, panels (including "Women-Led Startups: What the Rest of You Are Missing" and "Getting the Ink to Inc."), and E-ship Improv!—a new type of business-plan competition in which the audience decided which student team best executed its business idea.
Greener Ventures is hosted by Tuck's Center for Private Equity and Entrepreneurship, the Dartmouth Entrepreneurial Network, Thayer School of Engineering, The Portman Fund/Rockefeller Center, Dartmouth Medical School, and Norris Cotton Cancer Center at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.
