A range of visitors came to campus during the fall term (visits were sponsored by the Alan Smith D'52, T'53 Visiting Executive Program, Tuck's research centers, and the Cohen Leadership Development Program).

In October, Gregory Garcia, assistant secretary for cyber security and telecommunications for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, was the keynote speaker for "Security Through Information Risk Management," a workshop for senior information security executives from leading organizations including Cisco, Eaton, IBM, and ING. The workshop was sponsored by Tuck's Center for Digital Strategies and the Institute for Information Infrastructure Protection, a national research consortium on infrastructure security.

In October, L.L.Bean Chairman Leon Gorman visited Tuck at the invitation of the Cohen Leadership Development Program and the Alan Smith D'52, T'53 Visiting Executive Program. After speaking with students, Gorman signed copies of his book L.L.Bean: The Making of an American Icon (Harvard Business School Press, 2006). Gorman's grandfather, Leon Leonwood Bean, had founded the company in 1912. Professor Eric Johnson concluded the day by interviewing Gorman for RadioTuck.

Roger Ballou T'75, president and CEO, CDI Corporation, visited Professor Richard D'Aveni's Global Strategy and Implementation class in November.

Also in November, Susan Blake Meaney T'86, managing director, Makena Capital Management, LLC visited Professor Øyvind Norli's Investments class.
