Miguel's expertise is in social enterprise development, program management, and sustainable business methods in developing countries. At Tuck, Miguel is responsible for developing client relationships and converting those into unique consulting projects for OnSite’s cohort of second-year applicants participating in the program.
Miguel lived and worked abroad for over seven years spending much of that time in England, France, and Southern and Eastern Africa. He received his Master’s degree in Conflict Resolution at the University of Bradford's Peace Studies Department and focused on the effects sustainable business methods and renewable energies have on climate change, poverty, and post-conflict countries in the developing world. Miguel applied this knowledge while working for SolarAid, a social enterprise whose purpose is to fight climate change and poverty through solar energy and sustainable business methods. While at SolarAid Miguel worked as a Programs Officer and later as the Acting Country Manager for SolarAid's Kenya program.
Immediately prior to joining Tuck in 2014, he worked as the Operations Manager for a local organic company and as a volunteer for Tropical Storm Irene relief efforts in the Upper Valley. Miguel is originally from San Antonio, Texas and attended the University of Texas at Austin where he received degrees in Psychology and Philosophy.
