OnSite Global Consulting offers second-year Tuck students a chance to refine their cross-cultural leadership, teamwork, and client project management skills in a global context.
Students working in teams gain deeper exposure to a country or region of focus through client-funded consulting engagements with a diverse portfolio of corporate, non-profit, and government sector organizations. Notably, OnSite projects emphasize developing and executing primary research as a basis for articulating and defending a point of view and providing recommendations to the client that are relevant and actionable.
Our traditional model spans fourteen weeks. Most projects kick off in October with teams spending up to three weeks on the ground in a target geography in December for primary research. Projects wrap up at the end of January. Given our strong client focus, we also strive to customize projects for clients where possible to suit their needs and budgets.
*Due to the complexities of the COVID-19 pandemic, OnSite will not be available in academic year 2021 – 2022. Students will instead choose between Global Insight Expeditions (GIXs) and term exchanges (TEXs) in academic year 2021 – 2022.

The Tuck Consulting Experience
As a result of my Tuck OnSite project with a renewable energy company in Singapore, I am more self-aware, wise, and knowledgeable. The learnings from this project will help me build a strong base as I venture into a career in strategy consulting at McKinsey in Boston.

I really valued getting to know our clients on a more personal level. Having the opportunity to ask them what they thought of current events in Chile was invaluable; hearing their perspectives brought the situation to light in a way that simply reading news stories never could

My long term goal is to be an operator at a medical device company or a biotech/pharma start-up, therefore the opportunity to be in the belly of big pharma in Korea was an incredible one.
