Admitted Students Weekend. What an awesome, awesome weekend it was for me. I had already paid my deposit in January, so it was just a weekend for me to have fun with my future classmates and learn more about what makes Tuck, Tuck. There are definitely people who come hoping to find clarity surrounding their b-school decision…and I wouldn’t be surprised if 9 out of 10 people end up choosing Tuck after the weekend is done. It’s THAT fun of a weekend. 😊
Here are a few of my highlights: I got welcomed by a group of T’13s who were hanging around Ledyard, listening to music, playing cornhole, and guiding us to where we should park our cars. They asked me to come hang for a bit and have a drink, so that’s what I did for the first two hours after getting to Hanover. Friday night, a T’13 from Columbia cooked five of us an amazing dinner. He had us all to his house and after dinner, he taught us all how to play pong (if you don’t know what it is…you likely will by the end of your first week at school!). We then went back to campus for what would be my first of many Tuck dance parties. Saturday, I went on the Class of ’66 hike – hikes are an awesome way to see some beautiful parts of NH/VT. We hiked up a mountain (that sounds a little lame, I know, but the name escapes me. It was an easy hike, and great views!), and got a few pics at the top just before it started pouring rain!

We all booked it down the mountain to the Class of ’66 cabin (one of the many cabins owned by Dartmouth – they can be rented out by anyone), where we dried out, ate dinner, and just hung out. After a warm shower back at the dorms (where a T’13 graciously hosted me), I headed down to Raether Hall for a fun night of listening to the awesome Tuck Band (a band made up of current Tuckies). Sunday morning, I headed out…tired but so excited about what was to come for the next two years...
So! If you’re already admitted and haven’t registered yet, do it right now! You won’t want to miss it. And my experience was just one of many; you’ll hear from the other ASW Communication Co-Chairs (Doug London & Kathy Buck) over the next few weeks, so be on the lookout! There are so many of us who are working hard on this event – we can’t wait for y'all to get here!
