The Tuckies have returned! After a very quiet campus this summer, it is so nice to feel the energy and enthusiasm again!
As the Admissions Coordinator, I organize all on-campus visits and interviews. Two of the best things about my job are working with so many of Tuck’s amazing students and getting the chance to meet prospective students in person. I love coming into work every morning.
Monday, September 9th will be the official beginning of this seasons’ applicant initiated interviews at Tuck. If you are applying this year, I strongly recommend that you take advantage of this opportunity to guarantee face-to-face time with an admissions representative by registering for your interview as soon as possible.
When you register for an interview, your visit will also include a lunch and tour with Tuck students, a Q&A session with an Admissions Officer and if possible, a chance to sit in on a first year class. Not only does it offer us a chance to get to know you better, but it’s a great opportunity see what an exceptional and welcoming community Tuck truly is.
My top recommendations for interviewing at Tuck:
Don’t wait until the last minute. We have a limited number of interview spots, so the sooner you register, the better.
We really want you to enjoy your visit here and hope that you leave campus loving Tuck as much as we do. Ask the students those questions you have been dying to ask. Don’t be shy at the Q&A and ask Pat, Amy, Kristin or Donna those difficult application questions that have been racking your brain (also another great reason why it’s nice to interview before submitting the application!).
Suggestions for Transportation and Lodging: The Dartmouth Coach travels directly to Hanover, NH from either Boston, MA (Logan Airport and South Station) or NYC (Yale Club). The Coach will drop you off only a short walk from Tuck and would save you from the hassle of renting a car. The bus stop is also within walking distance of the two hotels in Hanover. I suggest you book tickets well in advance since they tend to book quickly. You can purchase your tickets online at their website.
If you choose to take the Dartmouth Coach it would be most convenient to book a hotel room in Hanover. There are two options; the Hanover Inn and the Six South St. Hotel. I also suggest booking a room at either of these options as soon as possible since they can sometimes fill up quickly. If for some reason they are already fully booked, the Courtyard by Marriott, in neighboring Lebanon, NH, has a complimentary shuttle service to and from Dartmouth.
