Winter Boutique/Craft Sale

By Claire B. TP14

Will and I live in Sachem Village, which is primarily graduate student housing located about 1 mile down Main Street from campus.  One of the huge perks of living here (in my opinion) is the proximity to other Dartmouth students--many Tuckies and Tuck families live here, but it's not Tuck-specific (there are Master's/Ph.D., Thayer, and Med students here too).  There's also a community center that acts as a gathering place for parties and events hosted by Sachem Village residents.

This weekend some neighbors who are also Tuck Partners (TPs) and I had a lot of fun checking out the Annual Winter Boutique.  It was started last year by some TP13s, and involves crafters/bakers from the Tuck, Dartmouth, and the local community.  We all got bunch of "shopping" done for friends and family for the holidays, and really enjoyed seeing the tremendous creative talents of our fellow TPs.

There were handmade coasters:

Delicious sweets:

Handmade ornaments:

Homemade cupcakes!

Jewelry, knit hats (good for winter!), headbands,

And one of my personal favorites... a TP-designed custom NH pillow... with a mini heart right on Hanover 😊

I didn't get pictures of everything, but there were also delicious spice mixes, custom watercolor paintings, photography, and custom photo/bulletin boards.  So much fun!
