Venkat Venkatraman—Thinkers 50 Vote

I strongly recommend that you vote for Boston University Professor Venkat Venkatraman for Top 50 Management Thinker for Thinkers 50 Rankings as well as for the Distinguished Award for Digital Thinking: https://thinkers50.com/vote/

Venkat has been working at the intersection of IT strategy and business strategy since 1986 when he started his career at MIT.  He wrote a seminal paper on IT-induced business reconfiguration in Sloan Management Review in 1994. The core ideas formed the basis for the MIT book The Corporation of the 1990s edited by Michael Scott Morton. He wrote a seminal paper (with John Henderson) on Strategic Alignment—on aligning business and IT strategies for IBM Systems Journal in 1993. The Journal republished it as a turning point in how we think about IT in modern corporations in 2000.  This paper has over 5000 citations. Recently, Venkat’s book on The Digital Matrix (2017) which takes a comprehensive look at the transformation challenges of established companies has been endorsed by CEOs of IBM, Verizon, WPP and senior digital leaders from McKinsey, Merck, L’Oreal,  and others.
