Parking

Parking registration fees have not been set yet for the 2024–2025 school year.

Registration is available online at Parking.Dartmouth.edu and at the Transportation Services office located on the lower level of North Massachusetts Hall. Check the Transportation Service page for walk-in service hours. At the time of in-person registration, students must show his or her valid vehicle(s) registration, valid driver’s license, and Dartmouth ID. Hangtags (issued based on parking location) must be displayed from the rearview mirror.

On-Campus Students

On-Campus students living in Whittemore Hall, Buchanan Hall, Achtmeyer or Pineau-Valencienne Halls will have the option of A-Lot, Lewiston, or at the Anderson Garage at a higher rate, during the 2024–25 academic year.

Off-Campus Students

Commuting students can purchase a parking permit for Lewiston/Dewey lot or paid parking in the Anderson Garage. First-year commuters may register for a commuter hangtag to park in the Lewiston/Dewey lot during the 2024–25 academic year. There is a Dartmouth/Downtown shuttle bus running to the Dewey lot. Please visit Advance Transit for the shuttle schedule. Also, please pay close attention to the shuttle’s route, as it differs depending on the time of day. The MobiliD shuttle provides rides from the Lewiston Lot to Tuck Circle by request using the MobiliD app. For the Anderson Garage an access card would be issued to grant entry and exit.

Parking for Tuck Students 2024-2025

From November 1 – April 1, there is no overnight parking between 2 a.m. – 6 a.m. in faculty/staff lots, due to the winter parking ban, except Anderson Garage with paid pass and resident lots (A-lot & Lewiston).

From April 2 – October 31, there is overnight parking on Friday and Saturday nights only.

On Sunday-Thursday nights, students may be parked in faculty/staff lots between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. After 6:00 a.m., ticketing will occur, and it will be considered "Unauthorized Parking” or "No Valid Parking Permit," depending on registration status (see fines section below).

Vehicles with three or more unpaid citations may be booted or towed. Unpaid citations and late fees transfer to student accounts.

Please note: Students, employees, and visitors may go online to pay and appeal citations. Students can register their vehicles by going to the Dartmouth Parking Portal to purchase a parking permit.
