Roughly a quarter of Tuck’s incoming classes attend the Pre-Enrollment Program (PEP).
This year, PEP will take place from August 3-August 7. This is a one-week program designed to provide students with intensive instruction in the quantitative skills they will need to succeed at Tuck. The program covers basic financial math, accounting, microeconomics, and analytics.
No one-week course can possibly promise to provide expertise to each participating student in all quantitative skills required for the MBA program. Rather, the objective of the course is to improve each student’s quantitative skill competence and self-awareness by doing the following:
- Survey the principal quantitative skills required
- Provide instruction in basic concepts for core quantitative skills
- Illustrate concepts with guided sample problems
- Drill concepts with problems for students to solve individually
- Introduce widely used spreadsheet techniques
- Identify quantitative skill areas requiring additional self-study and support
Schedule and Fees
The PEP program begins on Monday and ends on Friday. The schedule includes morning classes, lunch breaks, afternoon self-study, and office hours.
The cost for PEP for 2026-2027 has not been set. Please use last year's costs of $750 for estimation purposes.
The fees will be charged to your student account if you participate in the program. Please note that if you sign up for PEP, you may not sign up for International Orientation.
How to Register
Selected students are invited by Tuck to participate in PEP. If you have completed all required MBA Math lessons and you feel this program would benefit you, submit the Pre-Term Programs Registration to the MBA Program Office by June 8 at 5:00 PM ET.
