Tuck Launch

Your Tuck experience officially starts with Tuck Launch.

Taking place August 5–16, Tuck Launch will serve to kick off your two-year journey of personal growth and discovery. This required two-week orientation program, designed to be both informative and inspirational, will accelerate your immersion into business school through experiential learning, integrated programming, facilitated reflection, and social interaction. Presenters will include Tuck deans, faculty, students, alumni, and partner organizations. Tuck Launch is an essential introduction to the people, opportunities, and services that will make your time here truly outstanding.

Overview

Tuck Launch is the first time your class will be together on campus and it will provide a platform for a lifelong network of colleagues and friends. The program includes academic programming; as well as sessions focused on how to work in your fall study group; what to expect from faculty and core classes; opportunities to work with Career Services and Centers; and the Tuck Codes of Conduct. There will also be time to socialize with your classmates during breaks as well as small-group dinners that the MBA Program Office will plan as it coordinates the overall program.

Details

Tuck Launch is mandatory for every incoming student. A schedule for Tuck Launch will be provided in late July.

Preparation

We highly recommend that you arrive in Hanover before Tuck Launch begins as you will have limited free time to take care of administrative items, such as registering your car, getting your driver’s license, and unpacking your house. Most of the two weeks will be used to help guide you into the Tuck community as a graduate student. We look forward to meeting you in August!

Tuck Voices

“A fundamental principle of business school is you need to be willing to let other people have the mic and listen to what they have to say. The sessions on race and diversity, and River of Life, mentally prepared me to push myself beyond my comfort zone, and enabled me to connect with classmates on a level I couldn’t have reached at any other business school.”
