Housing and Meals

Whether you live on or off-campus, you will benefit from Tuck’s full-time, residential MBA program.

Tuck provides the opportunity for more than half of the first-year class to live on-campus in residence halls; and Dartmouth offers Sachem Village, a cluster of housing units for graduate students with partners or families, as well as the nearby South Street apartments.

The remaining students live in apartments and houses in Hanover and the surrounding communities. Located in Lebanon, the Summit on Juniper is a new privately managed housing complex that gives priority to Dartmouth graduate students.

Many off-campus students choose to live close by because students spend most of their days and evenings on campus attending classes, meeting in study groups, participating in student-club events, or simply socializing with other members of the Tuck community. If you do not intend to live in college housing (Tuck residence halls, South Street, or Sachem Village), you are welcome to reach out to the MBA Program Office as we sometimes hear of available rentals in the area and can pass these opportunities on to you.

If you are single or coming alone to Tuck, you can either enter the housing lottery for on-campus residence hall housing or plan to live off-campus. Whichever option you choose, it is important for you to take action right away to secure housing for yourself.

If you are coming to Tuck with a partner or family, your options are to enter the lottery for a Sachem Village unit online or plan to live in an apartment, condominium, or house in the area.

The rental housing market in Hanover and nearby communities is tight, and while some leases turn over on September 1, many end in the middle of June. Housing that is listed in the spring is rarely still available in July or August, so we strongly encourage anyone expecting to live off-campus to begin their search as early as possible.
