Dartmouth Office of Visa & Immigration Services (OVIS)

The Office of Visa & Immigration Services (OVIS) assists Dartmouth College in developing and maintaining a dynamic and intercultural environment by facilitating the presence of international students, scholars, faculty and staff on campus through immigration and visa sponsorship. The Office advises Dartmouth internationals on U.S. visa application processes, maintenance of legal immigration status, and also provides U.S. visa, immigration and tax information to College offices and departments that admit, host, sponsor, or work with internationals. The Office is responsible for institutional compliance with government regulations relating to the admission or hiring of internationals, including management of the Student & Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) data tracking and reporting.
