Pre-Enrollment Program (PEP)

Roughly a quarter of Tuck’s incoming classes attend the Pre-Enrollment Program (PEP).

This year, PEP will take place just before Tuck Launch, from July 29 – August 2. This is a one-week program designed to provide students with intensive instruction in the quantitative skills they will need to succeed at Tuck. The program covers basic financial math, accounting, microeconomics, and analytics.

No one-week course can possibly promise to provide expertise to each participating student in all quantitative skills required for the MBA program. Rather, the objective of the course is to improve each student’s quantitative skill competence and self-awareness by doing the following:

  1. Survey the principal quantitative skills required
  2. Provide instruction in basic concepts for core quantitative skills
  3. Illustrate concepts with guided sample problems
  4. Drill concepts with problems for students to solve individually
  5. Introduce widely used spreadsheet techniques
  6. Identify quantitative skill areas requiring additional self-study and support

Selected students are invited by Tuck to participate in PEP. If you have completed all required MBA Math lessons and you feel this program would benefit you, please call the MBA Program Office at 603-646-3938 or email.

Schedule and Fees

The program begins on a Monday and continues through Friday. The schedule includes morning classes, lunch breaks, afternoon self-study, and office hours.

The fee for PEP for 2023–2024 was $725. The fee for 2024-2025 has not been set at this time.

The program will be charged directly to your student account. Please note that if you sign up for PEP, you may not sign up for other Pre-Term Programs that conflict with the PEP schedule.

Tuck Voices

“Tuck professors are truly committed to supporting the educational journeys of students. During first-year core, a couple of us would spend hours in Professor Praveen Kopalle’s office understanding analytics, while he supported us by answering questions. The dedication to teaching exhibited by Professor Kopalle speaks to Tuck’s learning environment.”
