Sachem Playdates

I took a bit of a writing hiatus over the summer, I guess you could say we were busy with our summer adventures and just getting through untill Zach got home from his internship. The good news is we survived, and had a great time at it, really. But while part of me is sad to say goodbye to those warm summer days, it has also been great to see Sachem really liven up again (both with returning T'14 families and couples, and with new T'15 arrivals) and welcome the arrival of the fall season. The air is getting cooler and crisper, the leaves are turning all sorts of bright colors, and we're trying to make the most of this still-mild weather while we have it.

One of the great things about living in Sachem Village is being surrounded by other families and kids. These days we spend almost every afternoon playing outside with our neighbors, the kids riding bikes or playing in "the woods" (the cluster of trees behind our building) while we grownups get a chance to chat for a few minutes. It's a great way to pass the time, and also makes it so much easier to meet the new families who have moved in this fall. It makes for a great little community, for which I am very grateful.
