Tuck Students Hear From Wide Range of Companies This Fall

This fall’s company briefings are almost complete and so far we’ve heard from an impressive array of companies!

Every fall, Tuck hosts a series of company briefings that expose students to different industries, companies, and career opportunities. Representatives from over 100 companies from around the United States and the globe that span a breadth of industries offer more information about how their company operates and the strategy behind what they do.

After briefings, companies often host open exchanges, including informal meet-and-greet sessions where students have the opportunity to speak individually with visiting employees. Company briefings are held primarily in the fall before on-campus recruitment begins.

There are four principal goals companies have during briefings:

• To share information about a company and the culture.

• Share information about the roles they are hiring for.

• Introduce members of the company and the team recruiting Tuck students.

• Get to know Tuck students interested in the firm.

Students benefit from being able to spend significant time with these professionals and truly learn about their respective organizations. Companies will often host other events around company briefings that enable 1:1 interaction with students including office hours, round tables discussing a relevant topic, and/or social events that include gatherings at Murphy’s, wine tastings, and more.

Tuck greatly benefits from its strong alumni network. Many of the visiting employees from companies participating in briefings are actually Tuck alumni. These alumni enjoy visiting Tuck with a “recruiter” hat on. Their visit also gives them the opportunity to visit friends and colleagues, professors, and administrators who were an integral part of their lives while at Tuck.

Companies that visited this fall include:

  • Google
  • JP Morgan
  • General Mills
  • McKinsey
  • Colgate
  • Warby Parker
