ASW Partner Programming

Tuck Partners (TPs) are a huge part of the Tuck community—and of Admitted Students Weekend (ASW).

TPs are any husband, wife, fiancé, boyfriend, girlfriend, or significant other of a Tuck student, whether they live here in Hanover or are a remote TP across the country (or world).

As a future Tuck Partner, get ready to have a fun weekend and to experience a taste of what life as a TP will look like. You’ll have your own schedule that corresponds to the admitted students' schedule and is tailored to the TP experience: panels on careers and life in the Upper Valley, opportunities to get to know other future TPs, housing tours, and friendly faces who are eager to answer any questions you might have. In addition to partner-specific programming, you’ll also attend many sessions and social activities throughout the weekend with your admitted partner.

Read on to get to know us, your TP’25 ASW Co-Chairs. We look forward to meeting you, April 12–13, and introducing you to all that the Tuck community offers!

FAQs

What is the recommended attire for the weekend?
We recommend that you wear whatever is comfortable for you. There will be a lot of walking between buildings, indoors and outdoors, so keep this in mind as you are planning what shoes and layers to bring.

What will the weather be like?
It could still be quite cold in early April, so we recommend checking the forecast just before you leave and pack some warm items just in case. The vast majority of events will be held indoors, but several activities may take place outside.

Will there be opportunities to see potential partner housing?
Yes! There will be opportunities to see Sachem housing in our housing tours as well as during Small Group Dinners. We’ll also host a housing panel during the weekend to review any questions you may have.

Where can I eat or take my kids to eat during the day at Tuck?
Children are welcome at any breakfast or lunch event, unless otherwise noted. If you’d like something else, we will have a Partner Lounge available throughout the weekend where you and your family can relax, but you will need to walk approximately 10 minutes or drive to Main Street to access restaurants, as Tuck Dining is closed on the weekend.

If I am coming with my partner, where can we stay and how can we get around the Upper Valley?
Check out the ASW Travel and Lodging page for more details on accommodations in the Upper Valley. Shuttle service will be available to select hotels and will run throughout the day if you or your Tiny Tuckie(s) need a break from programming. If you will have a car and need parking, your student can indicate this on their registration form and we will share a parking pass for you to print ahead of time.

Can I attend ASW as a Tuck Partner?
Absolutely! Tuck Partners are a key component of the Tuck community and are always welcome at all social events. We will host programming specifically for partners, and you are also welcome to join your admitted partner’s events (unless otherwsie noted). We’ll share additional information the week before ASW on how to use the event app to filter for sessions open to and designed for partners.

What if I can’t attend ASW in person?
Information on how to access virtual sessions will be available in the coming weeks. Keep an eye on your inbox!

What if I have other questions before ASW?
Please send us an email and we’d be happy to answer any of your questions!
